Vayu
VAYU
Vayu is the Indian God of wind.Vayu is the
Father of Hanuman.
Anjana the Mother of Hanuman is a female
Apsara(Celestial Maiden).She was cursed to
be born as a female Vanara. But once every
year she was allowed to assume her real
form, that of the Apsara. The Apsara's or
celestial Maiden's are among the most
Beautiful of beings.
On the night Anjana Devi took her
True Apsara form and was wandering
along the Mountanious Forest , the
Wind God Vayu Saw Her.He was
overcome by desire and approached
her with love.Apsara's are Beings of
perfect Beauty and are Masters of
Dance and Music.
Anjana refused the advances of the
wind God. Vayu promised her with
a Great Son and expressed His true
Love for her.
He also told Her that she wouldnt have
any memory of her meeting the Wind God.
Through the Union of Vayu and Anjana
was born the Great Hanuman.
Hanuman is an Avatar(Incarnation) of
Lord Shiva. Incidentally the curse on
Anjana was to be removed only if She
gave birth to an Avatar of Shiva.
This is a brief tale about the Wind God Vayu.
