cicadas hum incessantly;
clouds pour without reprieve;
we trudge on relentlessly;
hoping for some respite;

Its a Jungle expedition;
search for a lost city;
Its a war of attrition;
we must be gritty;

We named it green hell;
Reminiscent Alien Terrain;
[Reminiscent a necropolis ;]
A place not to dwell;
Here it's insect Reign;
[An insect metropolis;]

What draws us on;
Ancient Inca Gold;
What are we but a pawn;
Aye we must be bold;
